The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) have been working closely with the IT Services Training and Adoption teams to look at ways of transforming the way that the Centre communicates with each other and the rest of the University.
With Office 365 tools at our fingertips such as Teams and OneDrive enabling us all to work together smarter and faster, both CELT and IT Services saw an opportunity to collaborate and define the best use of these tools to streamline CELT’s interactions.
Microsoft Teams is a great way to bring together people, conversations and content through chat, file sharing and customisation of the Teams space. It provides a hub for team work to take place and brings together key elements of Office 365 in one location, all securely stored on the University’s Microsoft cloud.
The whole of CELT have recently taken the opportunity to train with IT Services on two sessions, Teams – Let’s collaborate! introduction and a Teams – Beyond the Basics workshop which have enabled the department to benefit from all teams being upskilled at the same time.
CELT is the first team in the University of Derby to undertake the Teams Beyond the Basics training together, and the department has been actively involved in shaping bespoke content for their training session. As a result IT Services are offering a similar Teams – Beyond the Basics training workshop to the rest of the University.
CELT and IT Services will continue to work together on shaping the future of the Centre’s digitisation and aspire to create a modern, open and accessible digital environment so that everyone can stay connected easily – anytime, anywhere, on any device.
If you would like to have an informal chat about how your team can benefit from the tools we all have available to us, please feel free to book an informal chat with IT Services who can work with you to deliver bespoke training for your department or team and help you to Go Digital!
